Remember that each program is set (by default, which you can usually change) to handle "end of page" issues in a particular way, like (1) breaking within a sentence, (2) not breaking within a sentence, (3) widows and orphans, (4) allowance of a long line that exceeds the limit by just two characters, (5) etc., etc. People ask that question from time to time. You have a lot of variables involved, so it is not surprising that script length would vary when you switch to another program. Was your paper size not set to 8.5x11 (or whatever is standard for you)?Īs for your other question, about the fact that your scripts are even shorter in MMS and Sophocles: I am confused, though, as to why this problem happened at all. 10:00 76,188 Courier Final Draft Bold.ttf. On mine they're here: Directory of C:\Program Files (x86)\Final Draft 12\Data\Fonts. It is not the first thing that I would have thought of. One might ask: Well, shouldn't I be able to do this from within Final Draft? Shouldn't I be able to click the Properties button in the Print dialog box, and then click the Advanced button, and do it from there? Thus changing the paper size in this document/program only, and not globally for your entire windows setup? The script will have taken the new paper size into account, thus changing where page breaks occur. This will be the default size for this printer from now on. Please do correct me if I'm wrong, but I have found no way to set the document paper size from within Final Draft, which really is an embarrasing shortcoming.
